Introducing Multi-Select: Move & Delete Files in Bulk

With the launch of Multi-Select and Bulk Actions, we have fundamentally changed how you interact with multiple files in Drivaulta — and once you use it, you will wonder how you ever managed without it.

The Problem With One-At-A-Time

Modern life generates enormous amounts of digital content. A single project might produce dozens of documents, images, exports, and drafts. A family vacation fills a camera roll with hundreds of photos. A year of receipts, contracts, and invoices accumulates into folders that need organizing, archiving, or clearing out entirely.

How Multi-Select Works

Activating multi-select in Drivaulta is immediate and intuitive. Click the Select button at the top of your Drive page to enter selection mode. The moment you do, every file and folder in your current view reveals a checkbox. Click the files you want. Click Select All to grab everything in the current folder at once. Your selections are highlighted clearly so you always know exactly what you have chosen.

As soon as you select your first item, a floating action bar slides up from the bottom of your screen. This bar shows you the exact count of selected items and gives you immediate access to every bulk action available — Move, Copy, Download, Star, Move to Vault, Zip Selected, and Delete.

Every action is designed for speed. Move opens a clean folder picker so you can send your selected files anywhere in your drive in a single click. Download packages everything into a ZIP archive and sends it straight to your device. Delete moves everything to Trash at once with a single confirmation dialog. No repetition. No clicking through menus. One action, all done.

Why This Changes Everything for Power Users

The real power of Multi-Select reveals itself when you start using it on larger collections. Imagine uploading a client project folder with 150 files. You need to move the final deliverables to a shared folder, star the key documents for quick reference, and delete the working drafts. Without bulk actions that is three separate workflows touching 150 files individually. With Multi-Select it is three clicks.

For families using shared storage plans, bulk actions make organizing years of photos, videos, and documents completely manageable. Select an entire year of photos, move them to an archive folder, and free up your active drive in seconds.

For business users, batch downloading selected files for offline access or client delivery is now instant. Select what you need, hit Download, and your device receives a clean ZIP archive with everything inside.

Built Around Your Real Workflow

Every decision in this feature came directly from how our users actually work. The floating action bar stays out of the way until you need it. The Select button is clearly visible but does not clutter your interface when you are not using it. Confirmation dialogs appear only for destructive actions like Delete, so you are protected without being interrupted.
